Bird Walk

Good news, people! :D I remembered what I was going to blog about before! :D It's a song! (everybody groans) yes, yes, I know. But I HIGHLY doubt any of you have ever heard this song before. It's an oldie (we have it on a record. You know, those big black vinyl discs they don't use for music or anything anymore?), called the Tennesse Bird Walk.

It goes like this;

Take away the trees, and the birds all have to sit upon the ground!
Um. (yes, that's actually part of the song)
Take away their wings, and the birds all have to walk to get around!
Take away their birdbaths, and dirty birds will soon be everywhere!
Take away their feathers, and the birds all walk around in underwear!

Take away their *whistles*, and the birds all have to whisper when they sing!
(softly) chirp, chirp.
Take away their common sense, and they'll be headed southward in the spring!
Oh, remember me, my darling, when spring is in the air,
And the bald-headed birds are whispering everywhere
When you see them walking southward in their dirty underwear!
That's Tennesse Bird Walk!

How 'bout some trees, so the birds won't have to sit upon the ground?
How 'bout some wings, so the birds won't have to walk to get around?
How 'bout a birdbath or two, so the birds will all be clean?
And how 'bout some feathers, so their underwhere no longer will be seen?

How 'bout a *whistles* so the birds won't have to whisper when they sing?
(softly) chirp, chirp.
And how 'bout some common sense, so they won't be blockin' traffic in the spring?
Oh, remember me, my darling, when spring is in the air,
And the bald-headed birds are whispering everywhere
When you see them walking southward in their dirty underwear!
That's Tennesse Bird Walk!
(softly) chirp, chirp.
That's Tennesse Bird Walk!
(softly) chirp, chirp.
That's Tennesse Bird Walk!
(softly) chirp, chirp.
That's Tennesse Bird Walk!
(softly) chirp, chirp.

On the same record, there's also a song called "Please don't squeeze my Charman!" X)

Shows of Note

ha ha! that was fun. :) Anyway. What to write about.......I had a great idea for a blog post yesterday, but I didn't write it down, and suprise, suprise, I can't remember what I was. *sigh*

Hmm. Well, at my house, we (being, my family and I) looooove shows and movies (and games), as anyone I know could tell you. So, I will give you a list of some shows we've watched, and a brief overview on them.

The Big Bang Theory
We just started watching this one, and I'm sure most of you know about it already, but basically it's about two young genius scientists named Sheldon and Leonard, their friends Howard and Raj, and the neighbor girl Penny. It's funny, but a tad crude.

The Mentalist
Patrick Jane, a consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation, uses his observational skills, dry humor and childish personality to solve crimes, all the while searching for Red John, a serial killer who murdered Patrick's wife and daughter.

Yes, I've mentioned this one before. A young man (Merlin) comes to Camelot, and through a series of events, becomes Prince Arthur's manservant. Gaius, the old man who took Merlin in, helps Merlin learn how to control his magic. But these are dangerous times, for King Uther has outlawed magic, under pain of death. Exciting, humorous, and filled with loveable characters, Merlin is definitely one of my favorites!

Adrian Monk, a.k.a., the "defective detective," is a former police officer, kicked off the force because of his...peculiar tendancies. Obsessive compulsive, a germaphobe, afraid of 312 things, including milk. How, you ask, does a person sink so low into a prison of their own making? Well, although those tendancies were there before, they were slight, but they multiplied tenfold after his beloved wife Trudy was murdered. Still, he helps the police solve crimes in his own strange way, hoping to rejoin the force, and maybe one day, find Trudy's killer.

I'm pretty sure I've talked about this one before, too. Shawn Spencer is a partying, devil-may-care, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants jobless layabout, earning money by calling in tips to the police and helping them catch criminals, after doing nothing more than watching the news. But the police think there must be something more to it, and are about to arrest him as an accomplice. So Shawn does the only thing he can think of; he pretends to be psychic. Armed with a quirky sense of humor, great hair and his best friend Gus, Shawn jokes his way through crime after crime, much to the annoyance of a certain detective.

This is an old one (like, black-and-white, old). From his posh hotel room in San Fransisco, a rich, polished, edjucated man known only as Paladin pours over the newspapers (in between poker and the opera, of course), searching for someone in need of his abilities. Then, he rides out. Dressed in black from head to toe, he offers his services to whatever poor slob needs them. They ask, "Who are you? What do you do?" and he hands them his card, which reads; "Have gun, will travel. Wire Paladin, San Fransisco." Faster draw, better fighter, and smarter than any other man in the West, Paladin beats all (not to mention, leaves a string of broken hearts behind him. Not through any fault of his own, of course).

Robin Hood
Sunny showed me this one. But come on! Don't tell me you don't know the story of Robin Hood? Goodness.

Though set in modern-day London, Sherlock is still the same egotistical, know-it-all, "high-functioning sociopath" we all know and love. Only now, he texts!

The Twilight Zone
This is also a very old show. Created by Rod Serling, each episode of the Twilight Zone is a different story that twists your imagination and leaves you wide-eyed.

Ok then. I'm done now. But wasn't that much more interesting than me going on and on about my lack of ideas? ;)

Cookie Adventure 1

Hello! I don't post much on here but I thought I would today and show you guys some pictures! ;D Sunny is the picture-y one, but I have some that are kinda funny! I'll give you some background.

Close your eyes and picture this....WAAAAAIT! Don't close your eyes! If you do that then you can't read SCRATCH THAT! Just read this. Dakota and I are at her house. We're wondering what to do..we decide that we should bake cookies! I want you to see the pictures now, but to put this bluntly, we FAIL! (;

Ok, so that picture on the right is the cookie before. Yes, it is one large moldy cookie..juuust kidding, we food colour-ed it green. We're cooool!(:

This is what the cookie looked like after it came out of the oven. I am aware that it is waaaaaay undercooked. We had some issues with that such as we didn't actually have enough flour when we made the cookie, so it was RATHER runny and spilled off the side and made a mess...

Now, here are the pictures of what the oven looked like, the goop in a bowl and me pouring it in the snow.

I hope you enjoyed Cookie Adventure 1. I do have another cookie adventure that I'll post at another date(:

ha Ha HA!!

Hey everyone,
So this is the story of my photography attempts. I was trying to pull off the blurry-ish effect in the back round, and it went well, interesting. I wanted to take a picture of this tree defect because it reminded me of Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas. Btw, if you haven't seen that movie, go watch it! It's awesome, if not a bit historically inaccurate, but hey, it's a movie. Anyways, here is the first attempt of Grandmother Willow:

As you can see, it didn't quite make it to the blurry back round. I think the camera was confused with what part was the back round....yeah that's it, it wasn't my fault at all.....I totally had it on the right setting....

Ah, the sweet smell of success!

Bendy Phone!

I just read this article about this crazy new phone technology!! It's basically a bendy phone that is controlled by how it's bent! It's called a paper phone, I think. Check out the article here and here's a video of it:

Tuesday, May 10, 2011 tuuuurn! now I'm guessing that I am supposed to blog, so hello! How are you people today? I'm pretty good, thank you! I loove this warm weather, although today was rather windy. When Dakota posted about things that she is excited for, I thought that it would be cool for me to do it too! And then maybe Sunny can do a post on things she is excited for....OOOOH! I just got a pretty good idea! I think that every month, we, being Sunny, Dakota and me, should each make a post, talking about what we are excited for in that month. I think that it will be more exciting in the summer (which is fairly soon) because we can post about different places we're going...(Sarnia...*cough*). ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNYWAY!
This month I am excited for:

1: my family and I are going to a hotel this weekend! I love hotels...I sort of have a weird little obsession with them.

2: the long weekend! I wanted to do something with my friends, but yesterday we found out that my relatives who live like 5 hours away are coming to visit, and we see them only a few times a year. I'm suuuuper excited for that!

Those are the two major things that I'm excited for this month! I think that Sunny, Dakota and I should blog about things we're excited for every month...thoughts on that?

Hold your horses....

As you may have noticed, Sunny has blogged four, five times in a row, and is now on our backs to blog. Well ex-CUSE us! Normally, we can go for WEEKS without so much as a sentence from anyone, but since Sunny's been on this blog-fest, we now must break up her blogging streak with posts of our own. So HERE YA GO, SUNNY GIRL! HERE ARE YOUR FIVE CLAMS!! Wait, what am I talking about? I don't even like clams. Hmm......

There are lots of things I'm looking forward to, and most of them are dvds. Like, Psych, season 5, Merlin, season 3, The Mentalist, season 3, Sherlock, season 2, Sherlock Holmes 2, even Kung Fu Panda 2 and Hoodwinked 2(too)! There's also summer, sleepovers, VBS, and the third book in this AWESOME trilogy called the Blood of Kings.

The books are written by Jill Williamson, who is a Christian, and they are amazing. Really! :D The first book is called By Darkness Hid, the second one is To Darkness Fled, and the third one is From Darkness Won. They're about two people, mainly, a "stray" (having no one to claim you, no father, mother, uncle, aunt, nobody) boy named Achan Cham, and a noble girl named Averella Amal, who masquerades as a stray boy named Vrell Sparrow to escape marriage to the prince, Gidon Hadar, an evil creep in every possible way. Half the land of Er'Rets is covered in Darkness, brought on by the murder of King Axel and his wife. Only one can push back the Darkness and bring Light back to the people. The true King of Er'Rets, chosen by Arman (God).

So there's a little tidbit for ya, now I gtg. TTYL! :D

I have a tiny problem

So I know you're all aching to know my problems *cough cough* riiiiiiiiiiight. Anyways, I have posted two times in a row, and this will be my third! I don't know what its, maybe b/c of the weather, or that I have 12 followers (most of which idk!) on my blog (Excuse that little act of boasting:P) but I really feel like blogging!! EEEEEEEEEEEEKKK! <- that was a weird high pitched squeal. So of course I'm posting pictures (again) These are some I took on a recent shopping escapade. Oh yes, it was an escapade! :P
Random pic of Old Navy's new entrance, it made me thing of those things you put in front of each other to show how red and blue make purple!
This is a cool chandelier (you have no idea how long it took me to figure how to spell that:P) that we saw in Garage. It's in the "Man Couch" area. Haha, man couch....
Really awesome notebook in Coles that I was too cheap to buy *mutters to self "you don't need another notebook, you don't need another notebook. I WANT THAT NOTEBOOK!* However, notebook = $$, Sunny = pretty much broke. Anywho, Dakota shielded me from the clerk, so they wouldn't see me taking the pic. Some stores are touchy about things like that. We'd rather not get kicked out of the mall:P
Finally, this is the home of the light fairies. One time me and Kote were in the food court having lunch and were like "Hey that looks like a tree!" Than we were like "I bet light fairies live in it, and when one of they gets mad they knock out some of the lights!" I don't know if you can tell in this pic but a few of the fixtures are missing bulbs.

So there's some pictures, hope you enjoyed! *poof* <-- that was me telaporting. And yes, I teleport with a poof of smoke, b/c I'm awesome like that.

P.S. Kote, and Dessy blog soon, so I don't continue on this out of control reign of SHHB!
