HI! ok, so there are 2 things that i think a lot of people would like to know a bit more about. so i'll tell you.
1. when the youth went Mini Golfing on friday, there was some excitement. What was it, you ask? Well, my brother Wilson got hit in the head with a golf club. But wait! before you start freaking out, he IS ok, and he did NOT need stitches. it was just a little cut, but as you probably know, head wounds bleed A LOT. but no worries, he feels fine, and thinks it was actually pretty cool. :P boys. ;D lol
2. yes, i got my cat!! :D
Saturday, we all piled into the car (we rented one. it was nice and big!!) and drove to Spencerport, New York. it's about 3 and 1/2 hours each way, but we lost an hour and 45 minutes crossing the border. that's right. AN HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES!!!! anyway, the rest of the trip (there and back) went smooth, Pam was very nice and obliging, she told us everything we needed to know, showed us how to clip his nails, gave us some food and litter, some toys and a scratching post. :D Sherlock was great, too. he was very laid-back, he jumped right into his carrier, he was quiet during the drive, just. . . great. but when we got home, the poor guy was petrified! he hid behind the chair, under the table in the corner. . . I felt so bad for him. And we could hear him meowing pitifully during the night. :( This morning, however, he seemed much better. he has made his bed on the little shelf under the coffee table, and was there when we woke up. Apparently, sometime during the night, he jumped over the gate we put in the hallway, and went upstairs( I thought his meowing was louder than before!). mom found him sleeping on the top step. Anyway, the rest of the family went off to church, but i stayed home to take care of him. not too long after they'd left, he came out from under the coffee table (he goes there when he's scared. we put a towel down so he'd be more comfy, and, you know, in case.) and started to explore. he jumped up on the couch, walked around, went on the windowsill, batted around some little mouse toys, ate a bit of food, sniffed me, etc. :D around 11:30, he was up on the couch, feeling sleepy, so he curled up in a ball against my leg and slept. after about 20 minutes, i started to feel uncomfy, and tired as well, so i laid down. he got up and looked at me as if to say, "What are you doing?" but then he curled up against my chest and fell back asleep. He's getting more used to us by the minute! walking along the back of the couch behind our heads, not jumping at every noise, not running to his hidey-hole every time we stand up. :) :D i think that, soon we will be able to have people over! :D but not too soon. ;)
wow!! that was a long post!!!
